The Rug Curator partners with interior designers to create
private-label collections and custom rugs that elevate each
project and enhance profit margins. We make bespoke
rug sourcing feel effortless, exclusive, and beautifully aligned
with your vision and business.

We begin with your concept, project needs, and visual language. This may come in the form of references, sketches, CADs, finish palettes, or mood board.

Selections are shared through a Google Drive link and sourced from Nepal, India, and our private collections to support your vision and save hours. CAD development lead time
is 24 hours.

Together, we refine your rug design before production begins. Samples and strike-offs are created when needed for clarity and confidence. Typical lead time is 5–6 weeks.

Once approved, the rug moves into production through our network of trusted manufacturing partners. Lead time is 3-4 months.

The finished piece is produced with close oversight and delivered with the level of quality the project requires. Shipping lead time for AIR
is 10-14 days.
What makes our approach unique is that each service includes thoughtful rug curation. We help save you hours of sourcing and decision-making, increase your profit potential, and manage the full process from design development through production and delivery.

Sourcing Private Label Rugs: Key considerations include prioritizing quality and craftsmanship (hand-knotted/hand-tufted), thoughtfully choosing materials like wool or silk, leveraging customization options, understanding proper sizing and placement, sourcing from trusted and ethical partners (e.g., GoodWeave, Fair Trade), and exploring artisan hubs like India and Nepal for luxury rugs.
Compliance and Safety Standards: Adherence involves understanding and complying with relevant regulations (e.g., CPSC flammability standards in the US), using certified and ethical manufacturers (e.g., OEKO-TEX, GOTS), implementing robust quality control and third-party testing, and maintaining meticulous documentation and traceability.
Wholesale Custom Rug Design: Best practices include understanding client needs and design plans, choosing the right size and materials (wool for durability, silk for formal areas), prioritizing quality craftsmanship like hand-knotting, working with reliable vendors offering customization and certifications, and verifying durability and maintenance requirements for the client's lifestyle.
